Preschool prep in full swing...

Okay, so that break was not long at all. I just can not stay away as preschool prep is in full swing and I must tell you all about it!

After reading the information packet, we realized the adorable monkey backpack, the California crew gave him, wasn't big enough. It did not fit an 8 1/2 x 11 folder. I was so sad as he loves the backpack and was so looking forward to carrying it! So, we made a deal -- the monkey backpack will go with him everywhere but school. This includes Sunday School, Gigi's, Mimi's, and Kid's Joy! And here is the new backpack he picked out for school.

It's no monkey backpack and frankly makes me feel old as its such a big kids bag (we purchased the smallest size that still fits the folder!) but it's LL Bean and we all know it will last FOREVER. My bub still has his from high school. Now its a powder blue when I believe it was navy when first purchased, but still the longevity is impressive. And with 20% off and free shipping, it is on its way to our house!!!

Next up -- shoe shopping at Olly Shoes. I just RSVP'ed for a blogging event and can not wait to tell you all about it. I love Olly and find myself there more than I ever thought I would be. Double L's feet just keep growing and with his wide piggy toes, we need a special selection. I always find cool, affordable shoes (in wide) at Olly. These days he is sporting cool Puma's and TNF Los Ninos sandals that do not pinch his toes. Can not wait for the event and to see what the latest assortment looks like! His Puma's have seen a better day and new sneakers are definitely needed (as always...).

As for clothes, my dear friend was kind enough to drop off loads of clothes for both LL and little l, so I need to take inventory and make a list of anything outstanding needed. We knew double l needed a fleece as last year's one does not fit. So we ordered one at LL Bean as well as the backpack. I must admit I buy ALL his outerwear from LL Bean (since birth). I love every piece and totally appreciate how well made they are.

So tell me -- are you knee dip in school prep? #2 pencils, backpacks lined up, trips to Old Navy...
Any tips for this new preschool mama?

au revoir mes amis...

Okay, so I am doing it again. Same time as last year. But at least I am saying good-bye (for now).

Life is full. Its full of fun, laughter, two little ones that I want to devote my time too, and a man that I want to spent every free moment with...

I am taking another break. Not sure when I will be back, but I am sure I will. As always I will be keeping up with (or trying too) my reader, because I so adore reading your blogs.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and of course my favorite season, Fall, as well... Maybe I will be back in the dead of winter to tell you all about LL's preschool adventures and how little l is crawling (YIKES!!).

For now, au revoir mes amis...
