my babies are growing up so fast

Double l turned 3 on Saturday! 3 YEARS OLD! I can not believe it. My sweet little superman is a big, potty trained 3 year old that holds the most wonderful conversations with me. We had a small gathering for him with grandparents and a few of his close friends that are 3!

And little l -- well she was very low key at the party... Letting her big brother shine! She turned 2 months old Sunday! Where did the time go... She is 13.5 LBS. (off the charts for her age!) and 23 1/2 inches. She is HUGE and so happy. I love it. She has started to coo and is all smiles. She started sleeping a 7-8 hour straight during the nights, but sadly its not consistent. We have a bedtime routine down, so now we are working on nap schedules, but poor baby sleeps in her car seat a couple days a week because for LL's camp days. She is such a sweet, easy going baby and never complains.

Conquering the potty...

He is almost there! No accidents in days, loving his big boy underwear and boxer briefs (sporting them in the pictures). Jumping for joy on the furniture. All that remains is overnight!

***updated*** Removed photos as my stat stated many searches for images of little boys in underwear. Probably nothing, but mama (me talking about myself in 3rd person) would rather them removed!

someone has been busy...

My bub has been cleaning up the yard. Look at all those lawn bags! He has been a busy bee and working his tail off. Thanks bub!

empty nester!

my babies have grown up and left the nest. And I am kind of sad to see them go...

...strange, maybe -- but these little ones have a place in my heart. I watched them from the storm (when they were eggs) to Sunday morning when they flew away.

hot, hazy and humid...

oh my its hot. Today is actually the coolest day this week at 93 degrees! We have soared to above 100 and since double l has asthma and little l is so, well, little -- we have to stay indoors most of the time.

So, what's a couple of "Ls" going to do...

Boot camp went okay and we still have a lot of work ahead of us. Double l is resisting going pee-pee on the potty even though he exclusively goes #2 (since December). We don't want to go backwards, so we are just charging ahead! He went to camp today with his big boy underwear on!!!

***Update*** Guess who was still in the same clothes when I picked him up at camp??? You guessed it. We celebrated right there in his camp room. Charging on...

We are all tuckered out from a day of swimming and lounging by the pool... double l put his swimming techniques (from winter lessons) to use and had a ball.

potty training boot camp is in full swing this weekend...

We are celebrating our freedom by tossing the Pull Ups for big boy undies. So far this afternoon, double l has gone through three pairs and bub has cleaned up two puddles and steamed the rug!

Double l has been going #2 on the potty since Christmas, but pee-pee has been the issue. I know, its totally backwards. But we think its because he did not like the mess in his Pull Up and the pee was no issue. Now we are creating an uncomfortable situation with the pee-pees (we hope!)
